  Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy is a specialised area of physiotherapy focused on assessing, diagnosing and treating conditions that affecte muscles, joints, bones, ligaments, tendons and nerves.   Lisa is able to provide a wide range of assessments and treatments to help resolve any issues that you may have. My goal is always to try and understand what is the cause of the problem rather than just treating the symptoms.  I am an experienced physiotherapist with over 20 years experience and am able to treat a wide range of conditions. My goal is always to help you restore movement and function using evidence based research to guide my assessments and treatment interventions.

What to expect at your physiotherapy appointment

The initial consultation lasts for up to one hour and enables me to carry out a thorough assessment to determine the nature of the problem and to provide the appropriate corrective treatment to relieve the pain and address the underlying cause. Any subsequent appointments for treatment are for up to 30 minutes when we review your condition and progress your treatment accordingly . I am qualified and experience in using the following treatment techniques:
  • Advice regarding self help to speed recovery and prevent re-injury
  • Exercise programmes to correct posture, strengthen muscles, stretch muscles and mobilise joints
  • Massage and soft tissue techniques
  • Mobilisation and manipulation of joints
  • Taping and strapping
